Condo Transformation: Combining Two Units into One
We transformed Colin and Nicole’s condos into a functional, open home. The project included removing the central wall, merging kitchens, upgrading 20-mil LVP flooring, and integrating structural and plumbing constraints. Luxury appliances and fresh paint complete the modern, cohesive design.
At DMV General Contracting Group, we specialize in transforming unique spaces into functional, elegant homes. Colin and Nicole were fortunate to purchase the unit next door and wanted to combine it with their existing condo. This project involved removing the central wall, redesigning the kitchen, leveling floors, and integrating structural limitations into a seamless, stylish layout.
Our Scope of Work:
We carefully removed the center wall between the two condos, incorporating necessary structural supports while working around existing plumbing and electrical systems to create an open, functional layout.
We merged the original and adjacent kitchens into one modern, functional space with high-end appliances, Subzero cabinetry, and a Wolf stove, while preserving structural integrity.
20-mil LVP flooring was installed throughout, carefully leveling transitions between rooms to create a continuous, cohesive space.
All walls, trims, and finishes were repainted, using complementary color combinations to enhance elegance and unify the two merged spaces.
Existing built-ins and architectural limitations were incorporated seamlessly, ensuring a fully functional, magazine-worthy living space.
Final result: The final result is a beautifully integrated condo with double the space, high ceilings, luxury finishes, and a fully functional layout. Every detail, from built-ins to flooring transitions, was addressed to ensure a seamless, elegant living space. Colin and Nicole now enjoy a home that’s both stylish and practical.
At DMV General Contracting Group, every renovation demonstrates craftsmanship, problem-solving, and attention to detail. This condo merge project highlights our ability to create seamless, functional spaces while addressing structural and design challenges.
